Doujin work 1: Her First XXX

The summer season has begun, and continuing from the great spring season, some of the new anime that starts this are quite interesting as well. I haven't update this site for a while either, but hopefully is not dead yet. Anyway, one of the summer anime that caught my eye is doujin work, purely from the title. A doujin is a work made by amateur, and in this anime the work is mostly manga.

It all started when Najimi went on a train ride to school with Tsuyuri. Tsuyuri is happily sleeping along even as Najimi gets all heated up in telling her story how her dream to buy a bicycle got dashed when she is fired from her part-time job at the convenience store. Tsuyuri admits that she did something "dirty" last night, so she is having a tough time to keep awake. Even as Najimi refuses to hear any more of her dirty deeds last night, she became a lot more interested in it when Tsuyuri offered Najimi 20,000 yen to help her.

It turns out Tsuyuri is opening a stall at a comic festival to sell her doujin.
She told Najimi that a very successfull doujinshi 'circle' can hope to reap 10 million yen at these kind of festival.
Tsuyuri herself is hoping to sell about 300 copies, which would translate into a profit of 50,000 yen.

At this time, a very tall guy named Justice and his friend named Sora, a very short girl stopped at their stall. It turns out Justice is very famous in the doujin world and he is also Najimi's childhood friend. A small world indeed.
When Najimi prompted him, Justice says that he hopes to sell about 300,000 copies during the festival. However, he only charges 100 yen per copy, so he hardly made any profit.
Hearing all this, Najimi becomes very interested in this line of business, and thus, her doujin work to richness began...

Opening theme:い~じゃん!友情 (It's ok! Friendship) by MAKI
Ending theme:夢みる乙女 (Dreaming girl) by 水橋舞 (Mizubashi Mai)
Impression:
The main idea of the series is fairly unique, and it is fairly amusing, even if the jokes are not exactly breaking new grounds. Unfortunately, I don't really like the type of songs which is used as the opening and ending theme. Nevertheless, I think I will follow this until the end as it seems entertaining enough.
The episodes for this series is fairly short, just about half the length of the normal series, so it is also a good series if you need something short to keep your entertained :b.
